NRM Senior Specialist

You will be leading and developing the Net Revenue Management (NRM) within the Finnish organization. You will take ownership of the local NRM strategy working with the European NRM team and the wider commercial excellence team to deliver against the agreed strategy and targets. It is an exciting period to be joining the team as we have taken the first steps within NRM during the last two years. Our ambition is high, and several possibilities are still to be uncovered. You will be part of Customer Development team in the local retail sales team and the wider European CD community.

 

This role offers unique opportunities to shape the future of NRM within Arla Foods and drive significant impact in the Finnish market. You will need to manage a high level of complexity as you manage the process across each of the categories delivering against the growth agenda. You will need to demonstrate an ability to bring multiple parties/functions together to coordinate activity and deliver against a common goal in Finland. You also need creative thinking outside your strong analytical approach to succeed in the job.

 

About the job
NRM Senior Specialist role will be expected to:

  • Lead and develop the methodology for NRM in conjunction with the European team, codifying the ways of working into our operating model in local commercial team
  • Set the NRM strategy and lead strategic financial and contracting processes across the commercial functions to align with targets, utilizing the five levers of NRM.
  • Partner with local stakeholders to embed NRM ways of thinking and processes into the local market, grounded in an analytical approach.
  • Establish appropriate routines with Europe to deliver against the growth agenda and build capability, thought leadership and best practice across the wider teams.
  • Develop cross-functional plans that drive a sustainable balance of volume, price, and mix growth using the outputs from NRM processes (including headline price, pack & format architecture, trade & portfolio mix, promo effectiveness and trade terms).
  • Understand and enable market decisions based on trade-offs between market share, volume, sales, price, mix and profit.
  • Help drive joint value creation conversations with our customers by grounding our thinking in driving value for Arla, our customers and consumers based on shopper insights
  • Partner across the organization leveraging relationships with Sales, Marketing, Supply chain and Customer marketing to drive the program across the organization.


Your profile

  • 3-5 years in a commercial role (MS&P/NRM, sales, finance, category or similar) with P&L responsibility, knowledge of pricing disciplines and tools (strategic pricing, promo, PPA) or background from a management consulting or as a pricing specialist.
  • FMCG or Grocery Retail background preferably with at least 2 years of experience in NRM or sales role managing the P&L.
  • Proven track record of defining and delivering commercially oriented strategies and plans.
  • Strong commercial experience and financial acumen, an understanding of the P&L the factors driving this and how to influence and build growth.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly numerate with excellent problem-solving skills, you display a growth mindset looking to find and implement solutions.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence critical commercial decisions with senior stakeholders covering the market leadership team.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team to align and coordinate internal resources.
  • Strong analytical skills utilizing data from various sources to provide insight to make the correct data led decisions.
     

You will be well versed in the demands of a commercial / consumer environment and have a track record of delivering results. Using your strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, you'll be a strong communicator with a well-developed set of influencing skills.

You will report to Senior Customer Development Manager. You will work closely with NRM Analyst to find commercial opportunities.
