Quality Assurance Operative - Settle Creamery

Introduction

As an Quality Assurance Operative at our Settle Creamery, you will play a key part in turning the raw milk into our great products ready for packing, by ensuring high manufacturing standards, safety and high quality of the product and continual development of our processes.

So what do our Quality Assurance Operative actually do?

- As an Quality Assurance Operative, you will be integral to site operations

- Conducting tests to analyse products and materials

- Interpreting results of analyses and escalating non-conformance issues as required

- Keeping accurate records using designated quality control tools and software.

- Communicating results to relevant departments

- Ensuring that instrumentation is functioning and that calibrated and verified methods are used

- Ensuring compliance with site standards,

- Coaching your colleagues and conducting internal audits

- Collaborating with relevant departments on resolving quality issues and working on improvements.

What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role

- A strong sense of professional integrity and a passion for producing high quality work

- An attention to detail to ensure all recording is 100% accurate

- The ability to communicate effectively with external and internal teams

- Good IT skills

- Drive toward improvement

- Laboratory experience would be a benefit but is not essential as all training for the role is provided

- Experience in working in food industry and food safety knowledge would be a benefit but is not essential as all training for the role is provided
