LCO Process Engineering Techninican

Settle is a 24/7 site with c100 people producing UHT milk for UK and Export markets, you will be part of a multimillion pound project that will bring the UK lactose free market to Settle. We are searching for somebody who has a forward thinking mindset that will look to continuously improve systems and ways of working.

 
Responsibilities

 

This multi skilled process engineering role is not only about proactively maintaining equipment but also developing continuous improvement teams and leading/facilitating these through a number of lean manufacturing areas to deliver improvements across the Dairy. This role is LCO (line centric organisation) role which will include the identification and optimisation of preventive maintenance and operator asset care activities across all production lines & process areas, continuous improvement facilitation of cross-functional teams, using a combination of tools & techniques such as TPM, RCM, FMEA, 5 why? 5'S and Kaizen events and Setting & reviewing KPI’s. Identification and implementation of improvement ideas to achieve world-class standards relating to OEE, quality and H&S measurements across the facility. The candidate will facilitate top loss meetings, upskill operators and engineering technicians through training and coaching and be able to analyse data to drive corrective actions with a view to implement the 100 year fix.



Skills


We are looking for candidates with previous experience of working in an automated FMCG manufacturing environment as a Process Engineer. Having completed a recognised time served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline with ONC qualification, or above, you will have knowledge of manufacturing, process operations. Experience of working with SAP, PLCs or/and Tetra Pak equipment would be an advantage.


This role is a shift based role covering days, 42 hours per week.
