Continuous Improvement Engineer - Settle

We are recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to be responsible for technical standards of our UHT milk production area. These activities include Operator Asset Care, reducing unplanned downtime through CI work and coaching of operators and technicians on the line.

 

How will you make an impact?

  • Own and lead weekly CI meetings related to unplanned stops applying structural problem solving and improvement tools
  • Owns, analyses and tracks asset maintenance data including data quality and completeness
  • Owns plan for improvement of technical reliability of our UHT area
  • Owns operator asset care standards and competence development in the line team
  • Defines, process confirms and improves technical standards including OAC
  • Trains and coaches line team to ensure performance according to technical standards
  • Gives input to content and frequency of preventative maintenance
  • Role models by actively using data and deploying lean and APS tools in a structured way

 

What will you need to succeed?

·       Good communicator with ability to coach and train teams

·       Relevant qualification within an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Automation would be preferred)

·       Technical knowledge on running UHT lines is preferred, but we would also consider candidates from a wider FMCG or manufacturing background

·       Ability to investigate root causes

·       Working knowledge of HSE requirements

·       Data analysis and IT literacy

·       A positive and resilient approach to problem solving, team working, and continuous improvement
