Automation Engineer

 

As an Arla Engineer, you will make sure that the nation get Cravendale milk in their tea each morning, Skyr yoghurt in their breakfast bowl, and Anchor butter on their toast.

 

This is an exciting opportunity. You’ll get the chance to work at a site that’s just received £30 million worth of investment. You’ll be able to work with state of the art machinery. You’ll lead on Engineering related projects, creating real change.  All while admiring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales scenery!

 

So what do our engineers actually do?

 

Our Automation Engineers are problem solvers and strategic leaders. They are automation ambassadors at site, and are so integral to keeping us at the forefront of manufacturing.  

 

As an Automation Engineer, you will have a diverse day to day workload. You will have the chance to work with state of the art machinery, supporting with reactive and preventative maintenance. You will be a mentor to your colleagues, developing their automation knowledge and ability. You will play a key role in the site CI agenda, supporting with the initiation and implementation of change. You will consult the leadership team on all things automation, as well as liaising with external suppliers in order to bring the most up to date knowledge into the organisation.

 

What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role

 

  • Ambition.
  • Time served as  an Automation Engineer or Multi- Skilled Engineer (with automation experience) within an FMCG environment.
  • Experience with Siemens.
