Trade Marketing Manager - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Are you ready to exert your consumer, market and business insights to bring us competitive advantages and maximised profitability? If so, you could become the new Trade Marketing Manager for the SEA region. In this challenging role, you will work out of the regional office of Arla Foods in Kuala Lumpur and report to the Director of the SEA distributor market area.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • You drive the development and execution of the local market strategies in close collaboration with market leads and sales managers in line with global guidelines and ensures optimal execution of local brand plans.
  • You ensure local category growth and you are the expert in one or more nominated retail categories through the utilization of the full suite of relevant sources focusing on the analysis and interpretation of the latest industry/market information and consumer/shopper trends.
  • You are aware of specific retailer strategies, priorities and key objectives and align your own activities to these where relevant in key selected markets as Singapore and Malaysia.
  • You will provide input to local category strategy and participate in driving brand and category growth.
  • You will create a clear direction that monitors performance of these specific plans on an on-going basis and make sound recommendations as to any changes or modifications required.
  • You ensure optimal local execution of the global category strategy, development and management including giving input on NPDs and global marketing campaigns securing visible and sizeable impact in the business.

Your profile

 

  • You have a master degree in marketing, business administration or comparable.
  • You have Brand/category building experience.
  • You have 3-6 years professional experience from a comparable function (preferred in a FMCG company).
  • You have strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • You are a strong communicator, a team player, flexible, problem solver, like change and able to work under pressure.
  • You have very good MS Office skills (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Access), fluent in English. Malay and Chinese a clear plus.
