Manager Supply Chain Planning - Nijkerk

 With a production of 250 million liter of milk every year (and expanding) for our dairy in Nijkerk, there are challenges every day for our Supply Chain Planning team. In this exciting role you will be responsible for the planning from farm towards the availability of our dairy products on the shelves and manage the delivery performance within the team. As our new manager of supply chain planning, you will have a pivotal role in the operational effectiveness. You will manage, motivate and develop a team of 10 employees and together with your team you will focus on measurable continuous improvements in the total supply chain. Besides the different supply chain angles there is close cooperation with our demand planning colleagues at the commerce departments which you will further strengthen, extend and intensify In order to achieve our common company goals.


The supply chain planning department consists out of the following different planning disci-plines:

- Components & Ingredient call-offs

- Detailed Production planning & scheduling for the Nijkerk plant

- Supply & replenishment planning finished goods at other Arla sites


Next to the local activities there is strong collaboration with the different global planning com-munities in order to facilitate and manage capacity bottlenecks within the S&OP process. Over-all, it will be your objective to ensure that the department meets agreed-upon operational tar-gets. You are responsible for the department’s strategy, in alignment with the overall business strategy, ensuring the delivery of highest quality solutions and standards.


FMCG experience and a motivating leadership style

You are a strong leader with a proven track record that reflects a minimum of 3 years’ experi-ence as a manager. You hold a relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree and you have a highly ana-lytic and methodical approach to your work and a detailed understanding of costs and financial P&Ls. On a personal level, you have excellent leadership skills and the ability to mentor, devel-op, motivate and engage your staff to steer through the course you have set. Added to this, you know how to deal with conflicts and challenges on an organizational as well as an interpersonal level. With your networking skills, you are able to build and develop a network with key internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the company’s profile and position. Last but not least, you have excellent communication skills and a high level of Dutch and English proficiency – both written and spoken.
