Commercial Manager Starbucks Netherlands, Utrecht

 

In this role you will report to the Senior Commercial Manager Starbucks NL, FRA & BE and be based at our Dutch head office in Utrecht where you will also work closely with colleagues in the Dutch marketing and sales teams as well as Global colleagues in Denmark. As a Commercial Manager you will plan and execute our ambitious ready-to-drink (RTD) strategy and be responsible for trade and commercial marketing for our new products. You’ll actively contribute to the global strategy while driving implementation of our portfolio, including focusing on new propositions, products, and channels.

 

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will be operationally responsible for business development and business execution and will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our new product introductions. Your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Take charge of the end-to-end launch process, ensuring a seamless introduction of our new propositions in the Dutch market
  • Lead the development of annual business plans aligned with market, category, and brand strategies. Define and track KPIs to measure success.  
  • Collaborate with the Global team and external agencies to optimize the marketing mix. Execute impactful campaigns that resonate with the local audience.
  • Own the development of channel strategies and placement plans across various channels, including convenience, retail, on-trade, etc.
  • Maximize the effective use of shopper investments and identify opportunities to enhance promotion effectiveness.
  • Drive overall focus on our new beverage play within the local organization and support them in developing Beverage capabilities to ensure sustained success.

 

Your profile

You have an open, positive, and commercially driven mindset with a strong desire to “get things done”. You are independent and enjoy working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment and your problem-solving skills enables you to challenge the status quo and come up with ambitious solutions.

 

At the same time, you can create and develop positive relationships with people while also speaking up and challenging others when the need arises. As a team player, you get your energy from engaging with your team and a broad group of internal and external stakeholders.

 

Your profile

You have relevant experience working within a similar commercially focused marketing, category, or sales role within FMCG and will be able to translate consumer, channel, customer, and business needs into strategy, proposition and concrete business results.

 

You are familiar with entire marketing process and ideally have had hands-on commercial experience either in the roles of sales, trade marketing or brand management. You also have the know-how to operate in a matrix set-up and a good understanding of the full value chain.

 

Proficiency in written and spoken Dutch and English is a must. Experiences with Beverages and Impulse categories will be seen as an advantage.
