Transport Planner - Pronsfeld

At our new logistics site in the Lower Rhine, you are not only responsible for the smooth operation in the area of disposition but also for implementing things in an agile, reflective, and pragmatic manner and bringing colleagues & employees with their "growth mindset" on the Arla journey.

Your Tasks

• Familiarity and open communication when dealing with internal and external partners (i.e. Transport Business Partner, carriers, drivers, production, farmers, etc.)
• Creation of a robust and cost-efficient tour plan, considering all standards as well as legal and operational requirements
• Ensuring optimal utilization of the fleet through effective execution of route plans, vehicle occupancy optimization, and adjustment of customer order patterns to guarantee a cost-efficient flow with high delivery service throughout the value chain
• Continuous reflection and questioning of processes and procedures for improvement/optimal use of resources, time, and equipment
• KPI monitoring/cause analysis to derive active measures
• On-call duty on weekends and nights in rotation with the team

Your Profile

• Successfully completed apprenticeship or studies in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management
• Initial work experience in a comparable role, ideally in a similarly fast-paced work environment
• Preferably strong skills and in-depth knowledge in SAP TM or another TM system
• Distinctive organizational approach and bold enough to make pragmatic and unconventional decisions
• Fluent German and English language skills are a must to position oneself at all levels of the organization and engage stakeholders
