Finance Manager (m/f/d) - Athens

As our new Finance Manager you will be responsible for the Finance Team and report directly to the General Manager. Through our matrix organization, you will collaborate closely with local colleagues, such as sales and marketing, as well as with other business partners across countries. You will engage with and influence various stakeholders to drive development through a structured process that results in new solutions for the commercial business. Your Key Responsibility

  • You support the General Manager in all financial aspects from budgeting and forecasting to financial reporting (daily/weekly/monthly) and ad-hoc analysis
  • You are responsible for financial compliance to national law and Arla Foods’ financial policies/IFSR
  • You create the direction within your own team, whilst building commitment and ambition within the overall country Leadership team
  • You have the full responsibility for production/analysis of key weekly/monthly performance data
  • You have a key focus on the monthly deadlines and account process to ensure the end result is accurate and prudent and reconciled to management accounting measures.
  • You are involved in the business planning processes: financial forecasting, demand planning (APO), brand plans and strategic planning
  • You manage the accounting processes regarding capital expenditure
  • You support and counsel the functional management team as a key member
  • You ensure the correct reporting to tax authorities ( IKA, OAED, Epitheorisi Ergasias etc.)
  • You review the monthly P&L per Greek GAAP
  • You are responsible for the Payroll (calculation outsourced)-Sales Bonus Calculation


Your profile

  • You have a Master's degree in Economics, Finance or comparable qualification
  • You have a recognized accountancy qualification - ideally CIMA and you are a Holder of a valid Greek accounting certification
  • You have minimum 5 years’ post-qualification work experience including leadership, ideally in the FMCG/food sector
  • You have Hands-on experience with tax-audits and audits in general
  • You are a skilled IT-user (SAP, BW, MS-office)
  • You are fluent in Greek and English
