We are looking for a Distributor Lead under our Food Service team who have a wealth of experience that can make a significant contribution in driving this growth further. This high performing individual will be responsible in building, maintaining and expanding Arla Foods’ partnership with our distributors.

How you will make an impact
 

  • Strategically identifies and evaluates potential distribution partners leveraging on business objectives and market research
  • Effectively negotiates terms and conditions of distribution agreements to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Grows and maintains a long-term partnership with our partners by proactively proposing solutions and plans that will meet their objectives
  • Conducts market analysis to identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborates effectively with commercial and marketing teams to create promotional campaigns and materials
  • Facilitates coordination within relevant internal interfaces that are in contact with the distributor and customers and consequently ensuring a positive customer experience for both distributor and customers
  • Conducts engaging training sessions and product demonstrations with the distributor sales teams to ensure they have a thorough understanding of Arla Foods’ products and value proposition
  • Can be an active sparring partner of the Head of Food Service to enable Arla Foods to win in the market
  • Interprets and analyzes data pertaining to assigned distribution partners and products, and monitors overall performance, providing regular reports to relevant stakeholders
  • Demonstrates strong forecasting capability – developing initiatives that optimizes inventory levels and minimizes stockouts
  • Oversees the allocation and spending of budget in the most cost-efficient way and highest return on investment

 

What will make you successful
 

  • You have a business degree or relevant commercial training
  • You have 5-8 years of professional experience in key account management in Food Service, preferably with bakeries and cafés, and/or experience in trade marketing as well as relevant experience working with distributors
  • You have an inspiring leadership style that enables the team to deliver growth
  • You are a self-starter, but collaborates well with a bigger team
  • You are unfazed by challenges and thrives in a dynamic work environment
  • You can effectively translate data into a story across stakeholders, and recommend actions

 

The role reports directly to the Head of Food Service, and works closely with the Trade Marketing Team.
