QEHS Specialist - Oakthorpe

What is our Oakthorpe Dairy like?

 

Our Oakthorpe Dairy in Palmers Green is part of our Southern milk supply campus, producing branded and own label fresh milk and cream. At Oakthorpe we employ over 200 colleagues and are currently investing over 10m Euros in upgrading the site in order to improve process capability and make the site more environmentally friendly. With more investment planned over the next 5 years there has never been a better time to join the team!

 

 

What will the role involve?

 

Reporting into the QEHS Manager, you will be a key member of the Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety team. You will be integral to the site quality agenda, with the opportunity to implement new processes and influence change on site.

 

Other duties include;

 

  • Drive the site and UK business plans
  • GAP analyses
  • Apply Arla Food’s Food Safety and Quality management systems on site and coordinate internal & external audits
  • Deliver continuous improvement and Lean techniques through QEHS improvement projects
  • Drive the quality culture on site
  • Maintain, monitor and report on all quality data for the site to be shared with the wider team
  • Ensure that the site complies with Arla Foods’ standards and policies as well as customer requirements and wider legislation
  • Maintain certificated standards on site

 

 

 

What will you need?

 

In order to succeed in this role you will need to be an experienced and strong technical leader who has worked within a fast paced manufacturing company.

 

You will also need;

 

  • A minimum of 5 years experience within a technical role within FMCG
  • The ability create genuine and productive relationships.
  • Ideally degree qualified within a food related discipline
  • A strong sense of professional integrity and a passion for what you do.
  • Excellent IT skills
