EHS Specialist - Oakthorpe

As an Environment, Health & Safety Specialist (EHS) you will work as part of our Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) team. You will act as the site’s conscience, whilst striking the perfect balance across quality, safety and commerciality.


You will have the opportunity to implement process, and influence change on site. You will be integral to the site health and safety agenda, with the opportunity to engage with the wider community on environment and sustainability projects.


What will you do in your new role?


You will play an integral role in driving the zero accident mindset culture at site, creating positive relationships with colleagues across different functions. You’ll have the chance to consult on environment related projects. You’ll be able to share your knowledge, coaching colleagues and empowering them to operate sustainably and safely. You’ll work as part of the QEHS team, reporting to the QEHS Manager on site at Oakthorpe.


What you’ll need to be a successful in the role:


  • A minimum of 5 years experience within a health and safety role within a manufacturing, logistics construction or FMCG environment.
  • The ability create genuine and productive relationships.
  • A relevant qualification across either Environmental or Health & Safety (NEBOSH qualified or equivalent)
  • A strong sense of professional integrity and a passion for what you do.
  • Excellent IT skills
