What will the role look like?
Reporting into the Senior Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing day-to-day support to ensure the delivery of operational targets. The majority of weekly working hours will be focused on driving assigned continuous improvement (CI) tasks and projects within the designated scope, while allowing flexibility for other responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include;
- Responsible for technical standards (incl. Operator Asset Care) in manufacturing operations
- Responsible for reduction of unplanned downtime (i.e. technical stops) through data analyses , problem solving(RCA/BDA) and standards.
- Responsible to enable and coach operators and technical operators in technical standards and OAC.
- Contribute to a healthy, inclusive and safe work environment and role model our character mindset
- Ensure awareness and compliance to quality and food safety requirements within operations Area
- Owns and leads weekly CI meeting related to unplanned stops applying data analyses, structured problem solving
- and improvement tools
- Owns, analyses and tracks asset maintenance data incl. data quality and completeness
- Ensures that the Operations Areas improvement activities are quantified and reflected in OneCI (financial savings reporting)
- Owns plan for improvement of technical reliability for line(s)
- Owns Operator Asset Care(Cleaning Inspection Lubrication/Centreline) standards and competence development in the Line Team
- Defines, process confirms and improves technical standards including OAC
- Trains & coaches Line Team to ensure performance according to technical standards
- Initiates and drives the correction of complex faults ensuring sustainable improvements
- Coordinate & support implementation of new technical tools & ways of working and secure onboarding of Line
- Teams
- Gives input to content and frequency of preventive maintenance
- Role models by actively using data and deploying lean and APS tools in a structured way
Key skills & experience
- Strong technical background and/or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of LEAN /TPM/IL6S/TPS principles & data management
- Food/Engineering/Automation knowledge would be desirable but not essential

- Our Oakthorpe Dairy produces award winning milk and creams. The site is soon to receive a large investment over the next 18 months, with more on the horizon, making it a great time to join the team!
- When Oakthorpe was built, it involved the largest crane in Europe lifting the sterilized plant in which is why the roof is V shaped.
