Environmental, Health And Safety (EHS) Coordinator - Lockerbie

Arla is the UK’s largest dairy, farmer owned and the creator of household favourite brands such as Cravendale, Anchor, Lurpak & Castello plus many many more.


Our famous Lockerbie site is currently looking for a EHS Coordinator to join, we are looking for someone who is wanting to step in and make their mark in the most successful Dairy business in the UK. 


Lockerbie employs over 240 people and operates 24/7, 365 days per year producing high quality fresh milk and cheese. With recent investment and a focus on training and development there has never been a better time to join the team!


You will play a key part in the site QEHS team in delivering results to ensure continuous improvement  through Quality, Environment, Health and Safety. Ensuring site safety and product are packed to the highest standards of food safety & quality.


 What will the role look like?


This is a critical role on Site, driving our ambitious Safety agenda and supporting the Wellbeing of our colleagues, while also ensuring the maintenance of our embedded Environmental Management System.


Reporting directly to the Senior QEHS Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance to Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, and through internal audit identify and develop areas for continuous improvement. In addition, with committed investment from our Farmer Owners over a number of years, you will support a busy CapEx project agenda on Site.


 What do you need?


  • We’re looking for people who have an Environmental, Health and Safety background – ideally gained within a manufacturing/FMCG environment – who holds a NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) or are working towards this.
  • Experience of Environmental ISO 14001 standard, including leading the audit process.
  • Strong attention to detail and IT skills are essential.
