We are currently looking for a talented Strategic Brand Manager to execute ambitious growth plans on one of our hero brands. This role will report into the Director of BSM, Cheese & Cooking.
 

About the role

This is your opportunity to work on one of the biggest household brands in FMCG. This is a high profile role within the UK business due to the size and prestige of this brand. You will need to be commercially minded and have the ability to build strong relationships with the commercial team to drive profitable SBRG growth. You will be responsible for ensuring the product portfolio is optimised to deliver the most optimised plan.

  • You will be working closely with the Anchor global team to develop the brand strategy and deliver strong branded execution. You need to have the ability to understand what requirements are needed for the UK market by truly understanding our consumer profile.
  • You will be responsible for developing the media strategy whilst finding new ways to continue to drive fame and reach for this legendary brand.
  • You will be working closely with the global team & Innovation Manager to ensure innovations align with brand positioning, target audience needs and consumer insights.

As a Strategic Brand Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of Anchor in the UK, and become part of the history of this iconic brand.
 

Key responsibilities

  • Delivering short and long-term volume, turnover, profit and brand equity growth in line with the overall strategic ambition for the business.
  • Uses the Arla NGM (Next Generation Marketing) principles to develop and lead local brand vision, strategy and plans.
  • Builds a strong and successful brand equity and power through a consumer-driven insight approach.
  • Lead specific implementation of annual brand plans in line with business, category and brand strategy. Includes implementation of key elements of the marketing mix: advertising, promotional campaigns, digital and shopper marketing.
  • Leads 'day-to-day' agency relationships with core agencies feeding into their review and selection.
  • Tracks performance of the brand and the success of initiatives and recommends actions to strengthen the brand at a local level.
  • Makes optimal and effective use of the budget available.
  • Builds cost efficient and impactful media strategies/plans effectively reaching the target audience, in cooperation with media agency/Barn team.
  • You will be the leader, motivator & ambassador of your specific brand throughout the business.

 

Key experience

  • Previous brand management experience within the FMCG industry and an effective track record of successful brand management and results delivery.
  • You will be able to demonstrate the ability to provide leadership to key project and cross-functional teams, demonstrating both commercial acumen and effective time and project management.
  • You must be able to develop strong relationships with multiple cross functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • You will be creative, confident and outgoing with a true passion for brands and a desire to achieve marketing excellence.
