Shopper Marketing Manager - 12 Month FTC - Leeds


Have you got a natural passion for Shopper Marketing? Can you bring your creative flare to our Team? We have a super exciting opportunity for a Shopper Marketing Manager for Sainsbury’s and Waitrose, at Head Office in Leeds.


About the job 

As Shopper Marketing Manager you will develop and drive channel specific mission-based shopper marketing plans for your retailers, and deliver appropriate shopper marketing initiatives in order to maximize the impact of Arla marketing strategies.


  • Developing the annual customer shopper marketing plan and successfully implementing best in class initiatives to bring Arla’s brands and own label products to life through the retailer’s path to purchase touch points
  • Translating brand, customer and Arla/commercial objectives into plans to define targeted shopper marketing initiatives/activities for your retailers, delivering bespoke/differentiated activations where appropriate
  • Developing strong relationships with key retailer marketing/media contacts and Arla’s marketing agencies to maximise opportunities for Arla and driving cost efficiencies for media buying and agency fees
  • Building collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders (brand team /digital team/ business managers) to drive the shopper agenda and build engagement
  • Accurately managing the shopper marketing budgets for your retailers, including forecasting of spend and associated administration processes/systems to ensure spend is efficiently captured for internal reporting and evaluation of shopper marketing activity
  • Conducting holistic performance reviews of shopper marketing campaigns to influence strategy development and delivery of improved ROI ensuring customer and shopper insights and key learnings are captured for the future


Who are you? 

A natural passion for shopper marketing, with a mix of sales and marketing experience is required. The right candidate for this position holds a degree within a business or related discipline, has a strong commercial mindset and excellent planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 


Having acquired experience from FMCG, Retailer or Agency background. You must demonstrate excellent personal drive and the ability to work independently, demonstrating strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
