Senior Net Revenue Growth Manager - Leeds

This role will spearhead the rollout of Net Revenue Growth Management within the UK team. You will take ownership of the local NRGM strategy working with the European NRGM team and the wider commercial excellence team to deliver against the agreed strategy. As market lead for NRGM your role will be to lead the agenda as we roll out NRGM within the UK market, you will need to manage a high level of complexity as we manage the process across each of our categories delivering against our growth agenda. You will need to demonstrate an ability to bring multiple parties/functions together to coordinate activity and deliver against a common goal.


Responsibilities

The Market lead for Net Revenue Growth Management role will be expected to:

 

  • Lead the market rollout of NRGM within the UK ,developing the methodology for NRM in the UK market in conjunction with the European team, codifying the ways of working into our operating model, working closely with the local leadership team.
  • Sets the NRGM strategy and leads strategic financial and contracting processes across the UK commercial functions to align with targets, utilising the five levers of NRGM
  • Partner with local senior stakeholders to embed NRGM ways of thinking and processes into the local market, grounded in an analytical approach
  • Establish appropriate routines with Europe to deliver against the Growth agenda and build capability, thought leadership and best practice across the wider teams
  • Develop cross-functionally plans that drive a sustainable balance of volume, price, and mix growth using the outputs from NRGM processes (including headline price, pack & format architecture, trade & portfolio mix, promo effectiveness and trade terms)
  • Understand and enable market decisions based on trade-offs between market share, volume, sales, price, mix and profit.
  • Help drive joint value creation conversations with our Customers by grounding our thinking in driving value for Arla, our Customers and their customers based on shopper insights
  • Working alongside the European team and the market leadership team to deliver market results, including volume, price, and mix against an agreed set of KPI’s.
  • Train the Arla commercial teams in NRGM philosophies, tools and executional tactics to build capability across the wider organisation.
  • Partner across the organisation leveraging relationships with Sales, Marketing, Supply chain and customer marketing to deliver the transformational programme across the organisation.
  • Continue to develop and improve the application of NRM principles, constantly evolving and identifying new pockets of growth.
     

Knowledge And Skills

This is both a strategic role, where you'll be involved in rolling out NRGM across the UK and be setting the strategy, objectives and vision for NRGM within the UK, also an operational role as you deliver against the in year plan.

You will be well versed in the demands of a commercial / consumer environment and have a track record of delivering results. Using your strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, you'll be a strong communicator with a well-developed set of influencing skills.

 


Skills
 

  • Proven track record of defining and delivering commercially oriented strategies and plans.
  • Strong commercial experience and financial acumen, an understanding of the P&L the factors driving this and how to influence and build growth
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly numerate with excellent problem solving skills, you display a growth mindset looking to find and implement solutions
  • Executive presence and ability to influence critical commercial decisions with senior stakeholders covering market leadership teams
  • Able to manage multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously
  • Highly independent in thinking and framing problems
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team to align and coordinate internal resources
  • Strong analytical skills utilising data from various sources to provide insight to make the correct data led decisions.

 

Experience

 

  • 5-7 years in commercial role (MS&P/NRGM, sales, finance, category or similar) with P&L responsibility, with knowledge of pricing disciplines and tools (strategic pricing, promo, PPA)
  • Candidates from a management consulting background or pricing specialists will also be considered
  • Sector: Blue Chip FMCG or Grocery Retail background
    Graduate, preferably with at least 6 years of experience in NRGM or sales role managing the P&L
