QSR Culinary Lead - Global Foodservice

An exciting key strategic role that leads the culinary agenda for our most strategic QSR customers, both working internally and direct with customer chef teams.  For this role the candidate must be able to engage, excite customers, demonstrating high levels of passion & expertise in order to win


Reporting to the Snr. Global Culinary Lead and with day to interaction with the Global Key Account Manager, this role would primarily but not exclusively, focus on McDonald’s and has the exciting challenge of identifying & developing new innovations and concept propositions across the menu to grow our business


You will support in developing a QSR specific innovation pipeline and trial concepts that address the customer, consumer and category needs. This role will have a direct customer facing nature and therefore the ability to build strong customer relationships whilst creating innovative and exciting concepts will be the key to success


Experience & Background: -


A strong passionate Culinary Lead Chef with a track record & experience within QSR and a professional cooking environment, ideally with product development and manufacturing knowledge.  Must be able to demonstrate a proven ability to create innovative solutions and open commercial opportunities within Strategic Global QSR partners


Specific Responsibilities: -

  • Own the culinary agenda with the customer and develop a network within the food development team
  • Supporting the creation of an innovation pipeline specific for the QSR channel
  • Drive the QSR agenda and innovation pipeline through the Ideation, Feasibility and Activation Phases and through inclusion on Chef’s Innovation Councils / Workshops
  • Embed the relationship and customer ethos and culture and be a true trusted partner / “Chef Consultant”
  • Scope & define menu development opportunities supported by compelling trends, insights and reasons to believe
  • Coordinate, manage and benchmark culinary quality and functional aspects in the existing portfolio and in new projects
  • Define culinary prototypes & customer needs for rejuvenation or innovation project development with relevant stakeholders
  • Organise customer training where relevant
  • Inclusion and proactive contributor within the Global Arla Chef-2-Chef Community


Further expectations:


  • A solid understanding of global culinary trends, coupled with wider channel experience
  • Experience working in a corporate business within the FMCG environment
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Have a strong knowledge of dairy
  • Have a strong understanding about the total global foodservice market
  • Ideally have managed, led and steered teams remotely
  • Flexibility to travel frequently / be away from home
  • The ability to work independently and drive the culinary agenda
