Are you looking for an Industrial Placement year to gain experience within the FMCG industry?
We are currently looking to recruit a Production Development Placement student for on a 12.5 Month Fixed Term contract. In this role you will support the UK Production Leadership team to coordinate various projects relating to the UK Production Business Plan as we drive Arla’s Future 26 Strategy, as well as supporting the UK sites on various Operational Ways of Working . In this role you will be based from our head office in Leeds but will have a chance to visit the nine manufacturing sites we have in the UK. In this role you will report to the Senior Production Development Manager for the UK. This role will provide a unique insight into End to End Supply Chain operations with focus on both head office and site operations.
What will the role look like?
Some of your key responsibilities as Production Development Placement will include:
- Supporting the VP, Senior Production Development Manager & Site Directors in delivering various Business Plan projects which could include:
- Energy and Waste reduction activities
- Digital Transformation activities
- Supporting the Senior Manager Production Development & Senior Finance Business Partner in Capital Investment co-ordination across nine sites, both in terms of operational & strategic spend
- Ensuring projects are fully documented, to an agreed format/template
- Gathering information cross-functionally, often to tight deadlines
- Working in collaboration with a range of cross functional stakeholders & site representatives
What do you need to succeed?
The successful candidate will be in the in the process of completing an degree with an option to take an Industrial Placement year before finalising their studies.
You will have good communication skills at all levels and will be confident working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and working with senior stakeholders. With strong Excel and Powerpoint skills you will be able to produce detailed reports and effective presentations. Self-motivated, determined and creative you will push to overcome obstacles and deliver results ensuring that all deadlines are met. This placement opportunity will provide excellent development opportunities for students in a range of academic disciplines from STEM to Business.
