Planning Optimisation Manager- 12 Month FTC - Leeds

As a Planning Optimisation Manager based out of our Head Office in Stourton, Leeds, you will be responsible for the execution of operational plans and setting short, medium and long-term objectives.

 

You will act independently to deliver the business policies and programmes within a defined specialist area. You will also focus on the resolution of repetitive issues which impact the businesses ability to deliver the required levels of service, promoting a RCA mentality to ensure permanent fix. Furthermore, you will act as a point of escalation for service and wastage issues.

 

What you’ll do in your new role-

 

  • Ensure the effective application and development of strategies for finished goods replenishment and production planning
  • You will ensure the planning process is driven by demand forecasts, actual sales, promotion efficiency, compliance and transportation utilisation
  • Ensure effective and accurate evaluation of key elements of capacity against the demand forecast/ replenishment requirements and performance against plan.
  • You will highlight operational bottlenecks in a timely manner
  •  Promote the application of principles of supply management via effective SLA’s
  • Have activity focus and champion for service, wastage and portfolio management to drive operational efficiency within the business
  • Develop and utilise effective KPI reporting which will identify non-conformances to be targeted
  • Ensure the management of effective communication within the end-to-end supply chain maintaining committed information sharing on stocks, lead times, demand and availability
  • Develop effective WoW with interfacing departments
  • Drive planning excellence within the local and global communities
  • Be responsible for the development of the supply planning team via dialogue and formal development plans

 

What you will need to be successful within this role-

 

Functional competencies:

  • Numerate, analytical with well-developed problem solving skills
  • FMCG experience
  • A high level of computer and software literacy and strong project management skills
  • Extensive understanding of supply management, planning principles and the Supply Chain operation

 

Personal competencies:

  • A proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Well-developed communications skills and the ability to promote change
  • Strong time management skills
  • Customer focused and the ability to develop others
  • Three to five years experience within a planning/ supply management function at a Leadership level
