Corporate Press & PR Manager - Leeds

An opportunity now exists for a Corporate Press & PR manager to join our UK Communication function based in our Head Office in Leeds, reporting to our UK Communication Director.

 

This is a newly revised role as part of a restructure of the Arla UK press and PR team. The remit of the team is to increase integration across corporate press office operations with consumer-focused agenda-setting PR campaigning to build and drive Arla’s reputation and brand recognition amongst its consumers and corporate stakeholders.

 

Areas of responsibility:

Within this role you will contribute to strengthening the corporate reputation and brand awareness of Arla in the UK through best-in-class media relations and brand PR with clear, strategic communication in external media

You will be an active member of Arla’s UK press office and part of press phone rotation to ensure ‘always on’ availability for journalists (coordinating incoming media inquiries from industry/trade media, consumer, business and farming media)

Advise and support Arla UK’s top management and organisation on reputational impact of ongoing and potential activities and decisions, incl. support on crisis and issues management

Support on the delivery of key corporate media activations including financial reporting & results, business profiling of key people and corporate storytelling to drive company reputation

You will support the Head of Media & PR and the brand teams to drive brand equity through dedicated PR campaigns by recommending the best PR approach and delivering integrated communication strategies

Execute and apply Arla’s press policy in Arla UK

 

Further responsibilities in this role will include delivering tangible results according to agreed KPI’s (Kantar company and brand reputation tracker, media reach, sentiment, proactivity etc)

 

 

Skills & education

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience working with media in a commercial business

Educated to degree level with a solid track record of working across both corporate and consumer brands.

You will have ability to handle complexity and have strong crisis management skills with a drive to deliver results.

 

Strong proactive communication skills both written and orally, you will also possess social media and digital comms skills.
