Lead Designer - Leeds

Do you want to boost your career in a dynamic and global FMCG company? We are currently looking to recruit a Lead Designer to join us at our creative team at head office in Leeds. You will be working from home with some requirement to be in our head office. Are you the kind of person that has creativity flowing through your veins? The Barn (Arla’s in house creative agency)  supports our numerous brands in the development of digital campaigns, and the production of digital content. As the Lead Designer, you will guide and shape the creative direction that answers and exceeds the needs of our brand marketing strategies to help drive awareness, and build devotion to our products! 


Reporting to the Studio Manager and working closely alongside the Studio producer and Editor, your role will be responsible for:


  • Creatively answering the needs of our client briefs, and setting the creative direction for campaigns.
  • Developing creative solutions in response to digital and social media strategies
  • Drive creative projects forward and produce content across  digital and social media platforms alongside the wider digital team to deliver platform efficient content.
  • Ensuring consistent and creative communication that aligns to brands.
  • Take control of the  creative process through concept, execution, and delivery
  • Keeping a finger on the pulse of the creative in post production and production to ensure the creative vision is adhered to (prop look and feel, set design etc)
    Delivering best in class static, and animated digital assets


The type of person we are looking for will:


  • Have solid experience in a similar role as an Art Director or Lead creative in a creative or in-house agency
  • Adore all things food, and guilty of loving a good culinary show
  • Have a proven understanding of design, brand identity and playbook implementation
  • Demonstrate excellent skills in the implementation of creative concepts, from realisation to delivery
  • Experienced  in creating well considered creative presentations, and taking clients through the journey and explaining creative decisions and concepts created via research, insight, and data
  • Be an amazing storyteller, sharing your vision via storyboarding to both the team and clients
  • A strong understanding of digital channels, and how a campaign can develop and span across them
  • Highly versed in Illustrator, Photoshop, indesign, and AfterEffects
  • Some experience in video editing is beneficial, but far from essential
