As our Sobeys Quebec Customer Business Manager, you will be focused primarily on account management of the Sobeys Quebec banner (IGA), growing sales within the account in line with business objectives and sales strategies.
About the role
Reporting to the Director of Sales (Loblaw/Sobeys Customer Business Team), you will:
- Develop relationships with customers to gain knowledge of customer needs and ensure delivery of Arla’s business plans
- Assess and utilize available sources of data, to generate strong understanding of business, also translating into impactful customer recommendations and selling stories
- Work cross functionally to develop and deliver high impact sales presentations to customers
- Develop and communicate annual customer business sales plan through the use of the annual marketing brand plans
- Execute brand and marketing plans and new product launches
- Coordinate with marketing teams to ensure new business opportunities are aligned with Arla Foods’ brand strategies
- Manage customer promotional and merchandising strategy
- Proactively develop, negotiate and implement trade spending investment and promotional plans to increase listings, distribution, share of shelf and market share
- Monitor/control customer rebates and discounts, pricing, receivables & deductions. Ensure receivables/deductions are processed within agreed levels through trade management templates
- Track performance to identify gaps and opportunities relative to forecasts and objectives, across all key metrics and establish contingencies to support
- Work with the Planning, Procurement and Logistics team to provide and align on base and promotional forecasts delivering required forecast accuracy (promotional vs. base volume) to minimize wastage and maximize service levels
- Establish and communicate priorities for the retail organization
Who are you?
You have a three or more years’ experience of Key Account Management experience within Grocery CPG, ideally with previous experience managing Sobeys Quebec accounts. Your experience will also include sales promotion management, budgeting and target setting, data analysis, and detailed knowledge of the Canadian grocery retail landscape.
Your education includes a post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in a field related to business administration.
