How you will make an impact
In this role, you will lead the transformation of RoW in commercial excellence, working across sales, marketing and finance to build concrete NRM (Net Revenue Management) and COMEX (Commercial Excellence) initiatives and skills across multiple markets, categories and shopper contexts. Your priority is fueling the growth of Arla’s renowned global brands such as Lurpak, Castello, Arla Cheese, Arla Protein and Arla Milex, while supporting upcoming brand bets. You and your local leadership team will ensure:
- Channel & Shopper excellence: assortment & channel mix management providing guidelines for product prioritization based on role & profitability, shopper insights & pricing research
- Net Revenue Management: Drive/support locally specific NRM waves, analysing and executing according to NRM methodology—from consumer and shopper insights to joint value conversations with customers.
- Promotion optimisation: Manage promotional trade spend, conduct ROI analysis and improve promotional effectiveness.
- Financial analysis: Build strong links to Commercial Finance/Topline Controlling, utilise P&L understanding and monitor NRM KPIs.
- Capability and change management: Partner with local and cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance) to embed NRM best practices.
- Commercial strategy and planning: Support development of commercial strategy for the annual plan.
The role sits in RoW within Arla’s International Division, based at our newly opened Copenhagen office in Carlsberg Byen. You will collaborate closely with general managers and local leadership teams across our commercial units and be part of a 170+ strong organisation spanning Sales, Sales Support, Marketing and Product Management. Expect travel up to 120 days per year.
What will make you successful
A FMCG or Grocery Retail background, or management consulting experience, is relevant. You bring 8+ years in commercial roles (MS&P/RGM/NRM, sales, finance, category or a similar blend) with P&L responsibility and expertise in pricing (strategic pricing, promo, PPA), trade investment, assortment mix and customer strategy/planning.
You engage confidently with external stakeholders and help local teams navigate diverse challenges across many markets. Passion for sharp commercial strategies, brands and compelling narratives becomes a beacon that inspires teams and customers in daily execution and long-term branded positions. You are structured in your approach and comfortable managing multiple agendas. You operate effectively in international, multicultural environments with strong personal integrity and cultural insight. A curiosity-driven, improvement-oriented mindset pushes best practices forward and supports professional development across RoW. You possess numerate skills and you can lead capability-building programs. You embrace the importance of stakeholder management and complement this skill with a strategic mindset and experience contributing to annual operating plans or long-term commercial initiatives. Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
