International Field Sales Manager - Milk-Based Beverages - Copenhagen

How you will make an impact

As the International Field Sales Manager – Milk-Based Beverages, you will play a pivotal role in driving excellence in in-store execution across Arla’s international distributors for the Milk-Based Beverages (MBB) business, including Starbucks RTD. You will be responsible for ensuring strong field sales execution together with our distribution partners, through clearly defined growth initiatives, coaching and perfect store principles.

You will collaborate closely with distributors’ sales teams, ensuring alignment with Arla’s strategic objectives and global standards for MBB. This role involves frequent in-market visits, supporting field teams with tools & growth initiatives, and sharing the latest insights on in-store execution through sales kick-offs and roadshows. Additionally, you will work with local third-party field sales, merchandising, and auditing companies to drive additional sales initiatives and secure the quality and compliance of distributors’ sales forces.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • In-Store Execution & Monitoring: Develop growth initiatives, implement Perfect Store principles, conduct store visits and market audits, and share best practices
  • Distributor Engagement & Performance Monitoring: Guide and support distributor sales managers, establish KPIs, foster strong relationships with distributor partners, and collaborate with third-party companies
  • Field Force Training & Capability Building: Develop and implement training programs, ensure field sales representatives are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools, and regularly update training materials
  • Market Insights & Sales Activation: Lead in-market roadshows and sales kick-offs, stay updated on consumer trends and competitor activities, and work closely with Arla’s commercial and category teams 

 

What will make you successful

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on sales leader with a passion for excellence in in-store execution. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience: Preferably 5+ years in field sales, sales execution, or key account management in beverages, confectionary or other impulse driven categories
  • Leadership & Training Skills: Proven ability to train, coach, and influence field sales teams.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of retail execution, sales fundamentals data-driven and distributor operations.
  • International Exposure: Experience working with international distributors and multicultural teams is a plus.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage, inspire, and align multiple stakeholders.
  • Flexibility & Travel: Willingness to travel frequently for in-market visits, training, and roadshows.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in written and verbal English is a must.
