Do you want to develop Arla’s international business prospects within a highly commercial Distributor Sales organisation? If yes, we are looking for a new Foodservice Export Manager based in our office in Copenhagen!

 

Arla Foods, Distributor Sales (DS) organization is looking for a new colleague to join our international environment! Distributor Sales is an export office with 60 specialized colleagues all working towards a mutual vision of growing our shares while creating the future of dairy.

 

The DS organization is leveraging Arla’s 5 global brands: Arla, Castello, Lurpak, Puck & Starbucks through sales, marketing & innovation. Our business unit is part of Arla’s international organization. The Export office have just this spring allocated to new offices in Carlsberg Byen. The Foodservice Distributor Sales team is managing customers around the world specialized in the Foodservice/Horeca (b2b) channel. The team consists of a healthy mix of support functions and front line managers. This open role does not have direct reports, however it will be required to manage different stakeholders, within the team as well as with other peers.

 

Foodservice currently have a large number of partners in Europe, LatAm, Asia & Africa and we are growing. Arla Foods is has categorized foodservice as a “big bet” and therefore we are ramping up our game.

 

How You Will Make an Impact

As our new Foodservice Export Manager you will have the responsibility to drive the growth of your own Foodservice partners, as well as building new business with potential customers, aligned with the Business unit’s objectives.  We focus on selling strategically important Arla brands to Foodservice operators within our key categories; cheese, butter and cream. As the title indicates, you will manage and be responsible for best-in-class sales to our international partners.

 

The role requires strong commercial capabilities to analyse, adapt and implement different growth strategies to capture opportunities within the selected markets. As you will have full customer responsibility of your markets, the position will also require close cooperation with colleagues to ensure forecast, price calculations & maintain a high service level.

 

In your daily tasks you will work closely with the Foodservice team and external partners to ensure successful sales plans & executions. You can expect a key role in an exciting and face paced environment with approximately 30-40  travel days per year.

 

What Will Make You Successful

  • Higher education within business administration, commerce or an equivalent area.
  • 3-4 years of commercial experience, preferably Foodservice, sales or equivalent as KAM, sales manager or XXX.
  • Strong communicator and a team-player with a global mindset that thrives in an international environment.
  • You are self-driven, social and have an entrepreneur approach.
  • Role requires English on business level, written and spoken. Danish (or a Scandinavian language) is preferred, other languages could be an advantage.
  • Previous experience in managing Profit & loss, forecast and sales analysis is beneficial.
  • You will use standard IT tools such as SAP, Analysis & Excel/PowerPoint frequently.
