We have already established a market-leading position in several international markets. Now we are looking for a passionate Commercial Manager to lead further expansion and execution of our Starbucks RTD strategy in those and additional high-potential markets.

Now, we’re looking for a commercially minded operator who knows how to win in beverage or impulse-led categories. Whether it’s securing the perfect shelf spot, driving trial with irresistible activations, or building partnerships that scale, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating Starbucks RTD growth across international markets.

 

You will report to the Senior Commercial Manager DS Rest of World and play a key role in delivering sustainable growth for Starbucks RTD. Operating in a distributor-led model, you will work in close partnership with our Export Managers and local distributor teams, while also engaging cross-functionally with global marketing and commercial colleagues.

 

As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for driving commercial execution, brand expansion and portfolio performance across selected international markets – with a strong focus on RTD coffee.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end commercial roll-out and ongoing execution of Starbucks RTD in key international markets
  • Build and strengthen relationships with distributor partners and serve as their key point of contact in Copenhagen
  • Develop annual business plans aligned with market, brand and distributor strategies; monitor and track KPIs for performance and impact
  • Localize and activate shopper and trade marketing plans in collaboration with global teams and agencies – ensuring strong execution in retail, convenience, and on-the-go channels
  • Drive perfect store execution: secure best-in-class shelf placement, secondary displays, and cooler presence to win at the point of purchase
  • Maximize promotional efficiency and lead selected net revenue management initiatives to balance growth and profitability
  • Support capability-building efforts with distributor teams to ensure long-term business success for Starbucks RTD

 

What will make you successful

To thrive in this role, we believe you are a proactive and positive commercial professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You have a strong “can-do” attitude and are energized by building business from the ground up. You value great collaboration, but aren’t afraid to challenge when needed to deliver the best outcome for the business. With strong interpersonal skills, you know how to engage diverse stakeholders, manage complexity, and influence both internal and external teams. You are comfortable with regular travel (approximately 20-30 days per year) to strengthen relationships and drive execution in-market. Additionally, we believe you have:

  • 3+ years in a commercially focused marketing, sales, trade marketing, or category role within FMCG – ideally in beverages, RTD coffee, energy drinks, soft drinks, beer, or other high-impulse categories
  • Proven ability to drive growth through visibility and execution excellence – e.g., channel activation, shopper marketing, or trade promotion planning
  • Strong understanding of route-to-market models (distributors, key accounts, convenience, on-the-go) and how to unlock performance in impulse-driven channels
  • Hands-on experience building brands in international or export markets, ideally with licensed or global brands
  • Experience managing or collaborating with distributor partners to deliver business plans and KPI
  • Strong commercial acumen with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a track record of hitting growth targets
  • High proficiency in English
