Assistant Export Manager (Eastern Europe/Baltic Markets) - Sluseholmen, Copenhagen

Are you ready to leave your mark on the Distributor Sales organisation in Copenhagen? Do you want to develop Arla’s business prospects within a highly commercial Distributor Sales organisation and region? We are looking for a new Assistant Export Manager based in our Copenhagen office to develop and manage selected markets within the growing region of Eastern Europe and Baltics.

 

About the organisation

The Distributor Sales organisation manages a wide range of markets across the world from Latin America, Sub Sahara Africa, Eastern Europe, Baltics, Balkan in an organisation of 38 highly commercial and dedicated colleagues in Sales, Sales support, Marketing and Product Management functions. We focus on selling Arla’s well-known global brands within cheese, butter, milk and cream, as well as our product range under the Starbucks ™ brand.

 

About the job

You will be managing both own markets as well as supporting two Senior Export Managers, and after a thorough introduction to the business, you will have your own PnL responsibility selling our brands in your own distributor markets.

 

More specifically:

  • You provide  solid commercial backup and perform activities that build our brands and support sales targets. In close cooperation with our distributors, you plan sales activities, prepare forecasts, manage price calculations and plan order flow.
  • You will have broad daily contact with distributors and customers in the region,  and their level of satisfaction and development is the measure of your success.
  • You can plan for  an active and engaged role in an interesting region, expect 30-40 yearly travel days from your base in Copenhagen.

 

You will report to Senior Export Manager, Lars M. Henriksen and a big part of your work will also be establishing a close  cooperation with our teams in Marketing, Product Management and our Sales Facilitators.

About you

  • You have a high-level education and specialisation within business administration, commerce or equivalent complemented with +3 years’ FMCG experience.
  • Moreover, you are comfortable operating in an international and multi-cultural setting. This calls for personal integrity, strong sense of occasion and ability to work in a hybrid.
  • You are a pioneering and independent figure, who thrive on delivering results and working with a competitive, yet collaborative mind-set.
  • You have strong financial and IT skills and demonstrated business acumen.
  • Lastly, you must be proficient in written and spoken English.
