Global Account Lead for The Barn - Denmark

Can you fill the shoes as a strategic partner to our brand teams and ensure best-in-class digital campaigns are delivered by The Barn, Arla’s in-house digital agency?


The Barn, was created two years ago to help our global and local brands win in a world of increasing media complexity. Today, we have a strong team specializing in campaign development and digital asset creation, strategy and planning, analytics, media buying and tech.


As our new Account Manager, you will be playing a central part in our agency operations setup and work closely with the entire team at The Barn (creatives, data and tech specialists, and media buyers), but especially teaming up with our project management team and producers – and of course the brand teams.


The Barn is located in Aarhus close to our  HQ, however the right candidate could easily work out of the Copenhagen office. 


About the job 


As an Account Manager, you will join the newly established Account Management team in The Barn, and you will play a key role in building strong relationships with our brand teams and delivering them best-in-class digital campaigns that drive Arla Foods’ exciting and ambitious digital transformation agenda. The Account Manager represents the brands within The Barn, ensuring the brand perspective is understood and objectives are being met.


You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day relationship with some key brands in Arla, and you will be a strategic sparring partner to the brand teams, collaborating with them on digital plans and briefs that will drive their business objectives.


Furthermore, your responsibilities include:


  • Gain a deep understanding of key brands’ yearly plans, as well as business and category challenges and opportunities in order to become a strategic partner
  • Collaborate with the brand teams, external agency partners, and the full internal Barn team on briefs and projects
  • Conduct all brand-facing meetings throughout the development process on projects
  • Hold evaluation sessions with the brand teams after larger projects to feedback and capture learnings for next time
  • Regularly present key themes, learnings or case studies in Brand Manager Forum meetings
  • Create a yearly joint business plan in conjunction with the brands you are responsible for and follow through on agreed upon actions and goals for progressing the partnership.


You will work closely with the entire team at The Barn and play a pivotal role in continuously strengthening The Barn’s relationship with the brands and help to maintain a strong and fruitful collaboration.


Who are you? 

The right candidate might be in a role as Account Lead or Client Director in an agency today, ie a digital agency, advertising agency or a media agency – and you would like to unfold your competencies in an inhouse setting with colleagues on both sides of the table, brand teams as well as in the agency. You have a strong understanding of and enthusiasm for digital marketing and the briefing and creative development process, and good knowledge of general marketing & brand building fundamentals, preferably within an FMCG context.

Great communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial as you will be the point of contact for our brands handling briefs, anticipate and interpret desired outcome and help both the brand and our team navigate in a common direction. You would mostly say “Yes! We can”, but also know that both quality and deadlines must be met.

You must be fluent in English.


The Barn is located in Aarhus close to our HQ, and therefore most colleagues work from here. We have a few colleagues working from Copenhagen and therefore we also welcome potential Copenhagen-based Account Lead candidates to apply.
