Brand Manager - Copenhagen

About the job

The Distributor Sales organization manages a wide range of markets across the world from Latin America, Sub Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe, Baltics, Balkan and many more in a dynamic organisation of highly dedicated colleagues in Sales and Marketing.

You will work with a broad range of marketing related tasks and responsibilities on a strategic and operational level in cooperation with local and global colleagues across functions as well as external distributor partners & agencies. You will take a leading role in shaping local implementation of global brand strategies & expanding our branded positions.

Further you will take responsibility for identifying new opportunities, seeding and gradually establishing future branded positions.


Primary tasks

  • Delivering short and long-term volume, turnover, profit and brand equity growth in line with the brand/category strategy
  • Delivering annual brand plans to meet KPIs, aligned to strategic objectives
  • Tracking performance of the brand and the success of initiatives and recommending actions to strengthen the brand
  • Partnering with agencies to develop 360° activation plan
  • Managing the marketing budget for your markets and brands
  • Managing day-to-day agency relationships with core agencies & distributors
  • Creating and delivering distributor / retailer engagement sessions
  • Leading the creation of strong consumer/category insight led shopper plans across the organization
  • Own the product launch process and drive subsequent trade narratives / presentations
  • Generate and leverage local consumer insights to feed into the brand strategy e.g. trends & competitor activity
  • Scout for new branded opportunities across markets and categories


Your profile

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in brand management preferably FMCG, working with the full marketing mix (incl. solid knowledge of digital marketing)
  • You have experience working in / thrive in international teams, with a genuine interest in understanding different cultures
  • You have an ability to build positive relationships & drive engagement with key stakeholders
  • You are a structured, strategic thinker but one also with strong bias for action
  • You have an eye for detail but are able to decode and simplify complex situations
  • You are commercially minded, agile and results driven
  • Fluent in English

Your ability to make the right priorities is excellent, and you never compromise on quality and timely delivery, even when the pace is high and deadlines are looming. Mindset is everything and the will to succeed is key.  


As a person you are independent, out-going and used to taking the lead. You have several years of experience, preferably from FMCG within marketing or equivalent. As a knowledgeable marketer, you have a commercial mindset and experience with integrated communication plans and you are familiar with the fundamentals of brand building.


Your global and outgoing mindset enables you to work with people across cultures and to create strong relationships in order to build commitment with all relevant stakeholders.
