Site Director, Arla - Stockholm Dairy

As Site Director at Stockholm Dairy you will be responsible for our fresh milk dairy in Sweden which are part of Arla Foods’ Swedish Production organization. You will assume responsibility for leading approximately 130 skilled employees with 6 direct reports, and you can look forward to a close dialogue with our commercial colleagues in Marketing and Sales. You will establish a wide network within Arla Foods and have a close cooperation with both commercial and supply chain functions.

Daily operations and management of the dairy

As the Site Director, your job is making sure we  deliver on our main targets health & safety, product quality, delivery accuracy and finance together with the teams. Your primary objective is to develop and improve the dairy performance to secure an efficient operation whilst fulfilling customers’ expectations. In cooperation with your leadership team, you will drive the people agenda and the health & safety agenda as your top priority whilst never losing sight of the need to have an outstanding product quality, an efficient operational setup and being able to provide excellent service to our customers. To do so, you focus on strong teamwork to ensure deliveries on our main KPI´s. 

Reporting to the Vice President, you will assume a key role on both the strategic and tactical level, and together with your colleagues in the management team, you will drive cross-functional projects. Moreover, you will be responsible for driving improvements in all areas and have ongoing follow-up meetings on performance reviews and business plans. In the Stockholm dairy we share the facility with the Logistics organization, and you will look forward to cross-functional collaboration with them, while having the full responsibility for the facility.

Brilliant leadership skills, customer focus and technical insight

You hold a university degree within food science, dairy technology or similar supplemented with several years of leadership experience preferably from a similar position in a large, international food production company. Your background has given you a broad and solid supply chain knowledge including people management and health & safety.

In addition, you are open-minded, decisive and results-oriented. Relying on your personal impact, strategic insight and sound communication and cooperation skills, you can establish good relations to the management group and to internal and external stakeholders. If you also have documented experience with Lean tools and change management, it will be an advantage. Finally, you are able to motivate and develop your employees, and you have proficiency in written and spoken English.
