Specialist, Information Security Governance - Gdańsk

Join our dynamic Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance Team and contribute to the ongoing development of Arla’s Information Security agenda. We are looking for a dedicated Information Security Specialist who is passionate and eager to make a meaningful impact on how we secure our digital ecosystem. The role is positioned within the Information Security GRC Team, part of the CISO organization in IT department.

 

How you will make an impact

In this role you will primarily focus on anchoring Security Policies and Standards, as well as you will lead Security Training and Awareness programme - building strong foundation of risk awareness across teams. Also, you will be supporting the broader Information Security governance and compliance initiatives, including IT Risk Management and Data Privacy.

 

You will specifically:

Security Policies and Standards

  • Provide input and guidance on the implementation of security policies within the agreed framework, and advocate definition of the supporting standards;
  • Ensure alignment and awareness with intended audience across the organisation;
  • Support in defining and setup of control mechanisms to ensure that Information Security standards are implemented and operate effectively across Arla;
  • Help align internal controls and monitoring practices with regulatory expectations.


Security Culture, Training & Awareness

  • Build and execute Information Security Training & Awareness programme to educate employees on their security responsibilities and to drive an information security aware culture at Arla.
  • Influence user behaviour through campaigns, nudges, phishing simulations, measurable interventions, and stakeholder engagement to embed secure practices across the organization.
  • Lead periodic phishing simulations for global Arla user community, leveraging Proofpoint platform and Microsoft Defender capabilities.
  • Define KPIs (e.g., phishing click rates, completion and assessment scores, incident reduction), run continuous improvement cycles, and coordinate with domain experts to keep content accurate and up to date.


Cyber-Security Agenda

  • Collaborate closely across Information Security team, supporting broader initiatives of

Cyber-Security programme at Arla, such as: Data Privacy, Incident Response, IT Risk Management.

  • Support GDPR-aligned and data protection processes (access control, retention and DLP).
  • Support definition of the relevant Information Security requirements for Arla key technology providers and critical business partners, leveraging internal security policies and standards.
  • Support the IT Risk Management framework to ensure evolving threats, compliance gaps, and control deficiencies are identified, continuously monitored and addressed.

You have a natural ability to break down complex problems and communicate clearly across both technical and non-technical teams. You enjoy working with processes, frameworks, and data to drive sound decision-making and support continuous improvement in a global organization.

 

Furthermore: 

  • Master’s degree in Information Security, Information Technology or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Information Security or GRC roles, with a focus on security
    governance and training & awareness.
  • Understanding and practical application of relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices, such as ISO 27001, NIS2, IEC62443, NIST, and COBIT.
  • Ability to translate complex security topics (e.g., phishing, secure coding, data protection, OT security) into concise, engaging learning assets—micro‑modules, videos, job aids, simulations, and role‑based training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multinational teams and across regions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders, building strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with attention to detail and a drive to follow through.
  • Eagerness to grow within a fast-paced international environment.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).

 

Please note that this role requires you to be in the office 50% of the time + one additional day (monthly).
