The Senior Manager, Information Security Governance, Risk & Compliance, is a critical role responsible for developing, leading, and continuously improving the governance structure for Arla Foods' Information Security. This role will ensure that the company adheres to international and local regulations, corporate governance standards, and best practices while maintaining the security of its information assets.

 

 

How you will make an impact 

 

  • Governance Strategy: Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Information Security Governance framework, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements,
  • Policy and Compliance: Oversee the development and enforcement of information security policies, standards, and guidelines. Ensure adherence to relevant security laws and regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST),
  • Risk Management: Work closely with the Information Security Risk Management to establish security risk management practices, including risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and regular reporting,
  • Leadership and Team Development: Manage and mentor a team of information security professionals, fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance across the organization,
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, business units, and external auditors to ensure that security practices are understood and integrated into the broader business strategy,
  • Audit and Reporting: Lead internal and external audits related to information security, ensuring that any findings are addressed in a timely manner. Provide regular updates to the executive team on the security posture. Financial audits are not in scope and belong to RCC department,
  • Incident Response: Ensure the governance structure supports an effective incident response framework, enabling quick detection, escalation, and resolution of security incidents,
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies. Implement a continuous improvement process for security governance to adapt to evolving risks,
  • Data Privacy / Data Protection: Ensure compliance and collaboration with other Arla Legal departments, and coordinate the annual assessment on Applications and Data Protection.
     

What will make you successful 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred),
  • 15+ years of experience in information security, with at least 10 years in a governance, risk, or compliance role,
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA,
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, and other industry standards,
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teams,
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex security topics to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders,
  • Experience working in a large, global organization with a complex technology landscape,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
