As an Account to Report Team Leader, you become a part of our Global Shared Services in Gdansk. Here, you won’t find factory machines or farmers. About the job

 

As an A2R Team Leader, you will be responsible to ensure alignment of accounting processes and compliance to both  IFRS and local standards. You will manage reconciliation and maintenance of general ledger and secure smooth period closing activities. On the top of that you would be delivering results that make a significant contribution to a department vision, executing on strategy and following Arla GSS mission. You need to remember about overall alignment of team activities with company goals while taking the lead of daily operations and implementing process improvements.

 

Specifically, you will:

 

  • Ensure timely period end activities accordingly to Arla’s closing table
  • Responsible for meeting the requirements of IFRS and local GAAP’s in an accounting area
  • Applying new technologies to optimize finance processes, finding effective and efficient working methods within systems and transactions
  • Execute local and global finance projects and transitions
  • Keeping close dialogue with business partners, group reporting and controlling, IT and other stakeholders
  • People management of the team, team strategic planning
  • Acting as an active member of the department leadership, proactively providing input and feedback on team’s performance
  • Assuring compliance with external regulatory requirements, internal control standards and group compliance policy
  • Initiating and implementing improvements in ways of working within and outside own area of responsibility

Who are you?

We are looking for candidates with solid general accounting knowledge and strong leadership skills. Your background and interest for accountancy may derive from similar position within SSC/BPO industry.  It is crucial that you have at least 5 years’ experience in finance, accountancy or similar and proven track of leadership.  ACCA or similar accounting certificate will be beneficial.
