Business Development Manager, Operations - Falkenberg

Do you thrive in a versatile role with both operational and strategic responsibility? As a Business Development Manager at Falkenberg Dairy, you will drive the strategic agenda for the site in collaboration with the management team. This includes performance management, continuous improvements, our project portfolio, and leading the rollout of the Arla Performance System. In this role, you will be based in Falkenberg and report to the Site Director.

How you will make an impact?

The Business Development Manager role for Operations consists of three parts:

• Plan and support the rollout of Arla’s Performance System (Lean) in production by planning trainings, identifying and initiating improvement workshops, and following up on progress and results
• Administer the process around CAPEX investments, prepare documentation, business cases, and follow up on execution
• Facilitate the work of developing the long-term strategic plan for the dairy, including everything from sustainability, digitalization, training needs to investments and products

The position involves extensive local contact at the site, as well as with colleagues at other dairies and Arla Foods’ global Center of Excellence. We therefore believe that you can communicate well in Swedish, as well as English, which is our corporate language. You will in this role be part of the management team in Falkenberg and help set the strategic agenda for Europe’s largest cottage cheese dairy.

To thrive in the role as Business Development Manager, we believe you are development-oriented and goal-driven, a clear leader passionate about tactical and strategic improvement work, and you have a strong commitment to production and our products. You have the ability to see the big picture and recognize strategic connections and opportunities. As a person, you are curious and have a structured and methodical approach. You have good communication and collaboration skills and can lead the organization through change.

You likely have a degree as a civil or technical/food/dairy engineer, or have many years of experience from a similar position, and you have competence in project management, with experience leading complex projects. If you also have leadership experience and competence in LEAN, it is a merit. Finally, you have strong analytical skills with experience and competence in MS Office, especially in Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
