CAPEX Project Manager, Arla - Esbjerg or Upahl

Are you ready to lead impactful Capex projects in the dairy industry? Then join our execution team within the Engineering & Technology Group and play a key role in supporting our supply chain organization.

“You will be ensuring world-class execution of projects that contribute to new product launches, capacity increases, sustainability initiatives, and cost improvements across Arla Foods sites. You will primarily drive projects on sites in Esbjerg (DK) and Upahl (DE), so a mobile mindset and traveling on an ongoing basis will be expected,” says Ben Janssen, Associate Director, Capex Regional Lead CE.

How you will make an impact

You will manage projects following the Arla Foods stage gate model from Exploration to Handover, including preparation and participation in gate approval with the Senior Leadership team. Furthermore you will:
 

• Deliver projects successfully in terms of Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Delivery, Sustainability & Cost.
• Execute detailed plans covering scope, milestones, cost, resource, risks, and mitigation.
• Work with our Procurement department during supplier selection and tendering.
• Define and lead project teams with internal and external resources, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Communicate and present projects for steerco, project team, and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate the project with several site functions; Operations, Maintenance, QEHS & Logistics.

What will make you successful

We expect an openminded and eager person, who has a high level of energy and a strong set of communication skills. Furthermore we expect:
 

• An engineering degree in a related field and +3 years of project management experience with proven achievements, ideally from the food industry.
• Ability to manage complex projects involving new technology or processes.
• Excellent communication and social skills to build strong relations and drive collaboration effectively at different levels in the organization.
• A proactive mindset, decisiveness, and the ability to deliver high-impact CAPEX projects.
• Ability to drive change through informal leadership and trust building.
• Fluency in English at a technical level in writing and speech.
