Lab Coordinator - Taw Valley, Devon

As our Lab Coordinator, you will make sure that the nation get Cravendale milk in their tea each morning, Skyr yoghurt in their breakfast bowl, and Anchor butter on their toast.

 

This is an exciting opportunity. You’ll get the chance to work at one of our dedicated cheese production sites in the UK. You’ll get to make use of the on- site cheese shop (yes, you will get a staff discount), and develop your career as part of a site that has £500K worth of forecast investment.

 

So what will you actually do?

 

As Lab Coordinator, you’ll be part of our on- site Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) Team. Your time will be split between the lab (as a Lab Technician), and the rest of the week you’ll oversee the coordination of the lab, audits, projects and training activities at site. 

 

In this role, you’ll be a key figure at a friendly and high performing site. You’ll get involved in projects and play an important role in driving varied initiatives. You’ll get exposure in the lab and with all things QEHS. And along the way you’ll get to collaborate with colleagues, building positive and productive relationships.

 

What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role

 

  • A relevant scientific qualification, which has given you some exposure in a lab environment.
  • Good communication ability and a natural aptitude for building relationships
  • Organised and able to prioritise your workload.
  • Able to take initiative and add value through your creativity and character.
