Finance Administrator - Taw Valley

What is our Taw Valley site like?

 

MVI is a joint venture owned business that is situated at one of Arla’s sites in Taw Valley, Devon. The business manages all of the whey created from the cheese manufacturing process and produces 18,000 tons of permeate powder and 4,000 tons of whey protein concentrate using membrane, evaporator and drying technology. Our customers use the products as ingredients in foods and have high demands for quality and food safety.  Join our business here at Taw Valley in Devon as Finance Assistant and help the continued evolution within our manufacturing facility, contributing to the efficiency and cost progression and improvement culture.

 

What will the role look like?

 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a business and team that helps to design the future and implement changes and projects from the small scale to large CAPEX funded projects. Finance experience and strong communication skills will be paramount to the role.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing of purchase ledger documentation
  • Liaison with project leaders/requisitions
  • Reconciliation of month end supplier statements
  • Preparation of suppliers balances for payment
  • Identification and resolution of purchase ledger discrepancies
  • Accumulation and reconciliation of sales data
  • Preparation of sales invoices
  • Credit control
  • Accumulation, preparation and analysis of other key data required
  • Support for company accountant as required and any other tasks as necessary

 

What do I need?

 

the successful candidate will have a proven track record and experience from working in a similar position. An ability and aptitude for problem solving and ledger management is essential along with the ability to think on your feet and make decisions.  Good IT skills are required working with all Microsoft platforms including PowerPoint, excel and word as well as some bespoke packages. Strong communication skills will be essential for the role.
