As a Production/ancillary Operative you will be part of a high-performance team both delivering and supporting other functions to meet challenging team and personal goals reporting into the Operations Team Leader. Working a 4-on 4-off shift pattern.
Key responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Operations Team Leaders
- Support cheese department with achieving daily KPIs & objectives.
- Manual wash-down of equipment using pressure hoses etc. Prepping equipment ready for cip.
- Unloading deliveries and storage of key ingredients essential for cheese-make i.e. Starter cultures.
- Managing stock control of ingredients.
- Machinery is made available for Pre-Planned Maintenance according to plan.
- Challenges current processes and practices to identify new opportunities
- Completion of daily, weekly and monthly hygiene and GMP routines and documentation.
- Developing self to meet standards.
- A safe workplace and a pleasant working environment.
- Working across teams and departments.
- Handover between shifts – ensuring colleagues are passed any important information.
Reporting Process Deviations to ensure product quality and food safety.
- Registering Near Misses via LIA System.
- Registering safe and unsafe behavioural observations.
- Registering Environmental issues, reporting of leaks and spillages.
- Departmental improvement tasks.
- Ensuring good housekeeping on a daily basis.
- Time and Attendance is followed.
- Audit ready and visitor protocols.
Ensures that the area complies with Arla Foods’ standards as well as local standards, policies, safety requirements and statuary requirements.
Experience in a similar position preferred, although full training will be given.
In addition you will have the following skills:
- Ability to self-motivate and take accountability for own tasks.
- Ability to work in an organized and methodical manor, following company procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and able to form good working relationships
- Excellent numeracy and literacy
- Excellent attention to detail
