Sensory Scientist, Maternity cover - Aarhus

Right now, we are launching more and more products, and the ability to contribute with original ideas and products for the consumers is more crucial than ever. The Sensory & Consumer Science team is part of the Consumer and Product Design group, based in Arla’s Innovation Centre in Skejby. You will join a team of 12 colleagues (DK, SE and NL). Based in Aarhus, you will be involved in local and global projects, as maternity cover for one of our Sensory and Consumer scientists, from April 2021 and 13 months ahead.


Innovation assistance


You will assist bring new ideas to life,  being a key role in planning and organising consumer tests. You will also assist in designing, analysing and reporting sensory tests.


You will be responsible for managing our consumer panel, database and recruitment. Furthermore you will be key to the planning, execution and reporting of consumer events. You will need to have the ability to actively explore, understand, and implement existing learning manuals in our systems environment.


In detail, you will:

• Manage our consumer panel

• Plan, set-up and execute recruitment of consumers for in-home tests, workshops and events via the database and software

• Be a key contact for consumers and respond to questions

• Take part in detailed planning of workshops and prototype tests using our specific software

• Observe and learn about moderating, and qualitative consumer research

• Gather input and report consumer events

• Assist in sensory testing of products, performing data analyses, statistics, writing reports and presenting results


University degree

You hold a relevant university degree, preferably with IT skills, statistics, project coordination, consumer research and basic sensory knowledge. You have an interest in getting to know more about consumer centric product development in practise, and to develop skills within sensory and consumer science.


You need to be confident in English, and Danish in both writing and talking is a must when communicating with local consumers.


You will be using Excel, and special programs like EyeQuestion, Qualtrix. For the special software no previous knowledge is needed – but flair for fast learning of specialised software is a must.
