In this maternity cover you will be part of a highly skilled team of scientists based in Arla Innovation Center placed in the Food Cluster in Aarhus N and gain a network across the organization as you work cross-functionally and with different science teams.

About the job
In this exciting maternity cover, you will play an important role in driving the research & technology agenda to support the strategic direction in Arla as primary point of contact for our early life nutrition stronghold. support on our child nutrition products and our fermented business.

 

As a Nutrition Scientist in early life nutrition and child nutrition you are on top of the latest nutrition science in infant- and childhood and the knowledge within infant’s and children’s specific needs within their different growth periods. This spans from nutrition during pregnancy to the child’s first years of life.

Keeping up with infant and child nutrition is also obtained through a good network of nutrition specialists through conferences constantly seeking new knowledge of the specific needs of children and infants.

 

Likewise, we expect you to stay updated on the knowledge on nutritional and health effects of fermented dairy/foods. 

You will be the one to translate nutrition and health science into business, delivering the solutions by integrating your knowledge into the business and projects. You do so by:

 

  • Integrating all your nutrition knowledge into new product development within early life and child nutrition as well as the fermented business.
  • Working in close collaboration with our regulatory department.
  • Working in close collaboration with our product innovation departments.
  • Enabling two-way knowledge transfer with stakeholders in Arla Foods, e.g. new product development and Marketing.
  • Monitoring nutrition science for infants, children and pregnant/lactating women and nutritional and health effects of fermented dairy/foods to steer the strategic fit of our research projects within those fields.

 

Who are you?
A holistic thinker with a commercial mind-set, you are a champion at translating your scientific knowledge into business. You bring your personality into play in stakeholder management, collaboration and explaining your findings to colleagues outside your own function to engage and excite our organization on the health agenda. 

You will take part in setting the direction for your area, so it is important that you speak your mind, are innovative as well as performance-driven and create structure around you.

 

Further, we imagine that you:

  • Have an MSc and PhD in nutrition or food science and perhaps research experience within infant or child nutrition science
  • Maybe have experience within product development
  • Are fluent in English
