Innovation Manager, Plant-Based - Europe

Driving the innovative agenda on Plant-Based

Reporting to the Head of Commercialising Plant-Based, you will play a critical role in building our Plant-Based portfolio and executing our Plant-Based innovation projects.

It will be your task to be part of developing innovation and shape the exciting journey on Plant-Based, which is an important growth platform for Arla. As such, you will take full innovation project responsibility, incl. ensuring full go to market plan, and you will lead cross functional project teams by organizing and driving project- and market alignment meetings. We are still establishing our Plant-Based bet, therefore there is a lot of attention from many places of the organization, and you will therefore get a lot of exposure across our core markets. Working closely with our core markets is also critical in order to create scale on our innovations and become successful in your role.

As Innovation Manager, you will:

• Drive innovation in Plant-Based with key stakeholders, developing the right portfolio on associated brands, focusing on big scalable innovations across market
• Be part of setting the innovation agenda for the coming 3-5 years
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects - from concept development to product development (in collaboration with New Product Development)
• Prepare and present for Gate meetings based on our Stage gate model
• Create scale on our innovation projects across our core markets
• Ensure company compliance to policies and processes – ensure that procedures are in place, understood and adopted

We aim for this role to be flexible in where it can be located (within our 6 EU markets). If not based in Denmark, you have the flexibility to travel 4-6 days per month to Denmark or other European markets and otherwise work from home or utilize one of our European offices.

Commercial and innovative mindset with strong project management skills

As the right candidate for the job, we imagine that you have a master’s degree and minimum 3 -5 years of work experience, preferably within FMCG.  You are passionate about working with innovation and wants to creatively develop brands through innovation. Working with innovation, you use your creative flair to influence shopper and consumer behaviour while also considering the customers/channel and product category. You possess excellent project management skills and are able to run projects cross-functionally with a strong focus on cost, scale, quality and time. You are fluent in English.

On a personal note, you are a great collaborator and know how to bring people along on the journey in building strong relationships and networks. You are curious and eager to learn new things to continuously develop your professional and personal skills. You are commercially minded and understand what drives a business. You are a strong communicator who sets the direction and ensures that projects are executed on time
