In this challenging job, you will be based at our Innovation Centre in Skejby and you will report to the Head of Global Sensory and Consumer Science.

 

The Design and Connect team strives to enable business growth by working across and beyond traditional product categories to design innovative product solutions. As part of our team, you will be applying sensory methodology to develop insights that help us meet modern consumer needs. Additionally, you will understand how we create sensory and consumer product insights across different markets.

 

We are looking for two new Sensory Panel Leads. One new collegue for a 1 year maternity cover and one for a 3 year project. For both positions we hope we will be able to prolong the employment or offer new challenges within Arla Foods.

 

How you will make an impact

In this job, you will have a unique opportunity to develop your skills in sensory science in a wellfunctioning, dynamic and diverse team of sensory and consumer scientists. You  will be one of three panel leads in Aarhus, one of 6 globally and take part in development projects, supporting with sensory results, translating the challenges into research questions and applying the right methods to answer. You will also be responsible for reporting the results of the panel work, and panel performance. We use best in class sensory methods, but the results depends on you coaching the sensory panel to perform.

 

You will step into a busy team, and contribute with sensory expertise and knowledge to help us ensure consumer success in product innovation and renovation.  You will get a broad network within the innovation community of Arla and be part of cross functional work at its best, understanding the many roles needed to create tasty, safe and sustainable products.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • In close contact with stakeholders, guide and choose the proper test-setup to deliver the sensory results needed
  • Panel training and development of panel competences within specific areas of interest 
  • Plan, set up and facilitate sensory evaluations with the trained panel.
  • Maintain and motivate for Panel retention
  • Panel Monitoring for Panel Performance improvement  
  • Reporting results, on basis of statistical analyses
  • Contribute with sensory knowledge to the projects running
  • Engage in and apply relevant and latest methodology, and align with global panel lead team

 

What will make you successful

We hope you come with a background within applied sensory of food, flavor, or ingredients conducting sensory analyses with a trained panel. You have worked with a broad range of Sensory Methodologies and have basic statistical knowledge, uni- and multivariate analyses. You have a natural interest or knowledge of food science and product quality. Knowledge of the use of Compusense and Xlstat  is a benefit. Finally, speaking and writing Danish is important since you will be working with a Danish panel.
